Marcus Lilley of FutrSocial

Secret Agent Marketing have teamed up with FutrSocial to offer a series of free workshops aims to give Wiltshire businesses and organisations a better understanding of social media.

The informal courses will be led by social media entrepreneur Marcus Lilley (that’s him above) whose Marlborough-based firm, FutrSocial, helps people across the UK get to grips with an ever-changing array of communications technology.

After the warm reception of our free guide ‘How to Write a Press Release’ we thought:”right that’s it, we’re taking it on tour.”

(Well, ‘tour’ might be a mild bit of spin but we are getting out of the office and entering the beautiful surroundings of Rabley barn, which we did a reckie on yesterday.)

Both Agent Pete and I have done our fair share of conferences, seminars, workshops and talks. I’m a bit of an addict if I’m honest. But one thing that really frustrates us is that they are so didactic! As a former teacher (a long time ago when I was a fresh young twenty-something) this feels so, ahem, old school. We learn best when we are shown how to do something, then – do it ourselves. And our masterclass is all about the practical. (more…)
